Perception of the Old and New Generation

Talking about the past and the present has a great difference especially when the advancement of technology is involved. When we speak about our perceptions with regards to the past and the new generation we speak according to what we believe and what we think, in my case  all I could think is that these two periods have a great impact in everyone's lives.  The past is what created us today and the present is what we live for.  In the field of education, the past generation has been two steps behind from the generation of today. As a matter of fact, it is not a question anymore how the technology today have created a gap between these two generations. The past generation is known for me as the traditional learners while the new  generation are the active and the authentic learners. This is based on what I am seeing right now. The new generation were  technologically exposed, they have been shaped by the technological revolution that occurred throughout their youth. They know how to manipulate computers and other gadgets without the assistance from the older ones. They loved to be engaged in discovering new things particularly inside the classroom but could easily get distracted. While on the past generation, they uses their imagination in creating and visualizing  things and because of them we have what we have right now in the present for they have emerged as a successful and affluent generation.
